HARMONY Project

Improving public policies for youth mental health across Europe



The HARMONY project is an interregional cooperation initiative funded by the Interreg Europe programme. It aims to improve public policies related to youth mental health by promoting mutual learning, sharing of good practices, and stakeholder engagement across Europe.

Objectives

  • Promote youth mental health and well-being.

  • Strengthen the quality of public policies in participating regions.

  • Integrate good practices into regional and national policy instruments.

  • Engage local stakeholders and young people in building sustainable solutions.

Project Duration: May 2025 – July 2029

Total Budget: €1.49 million (EU-funded via Interreg Europe)

  • Department of Culture, Youth and Media of Flanders (Belgium)

  • University of Applied Sciences of Diaconia (Finland)

  • Regional Council of Normandy (France)

  • Ministry of Health of the Republic of Lithuania (Lithuania)

  • Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth (IPDJ)

Portugal's Participation

The Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth (IPDJ) participates in the HARMONY project through the Cuida-te Programme. It aims to contribute to the improvement of public policies related to young people's mental health, sharing national best practices with European partners and promoting the psychological well-being of Portuguese youth.
